If you’re looking to visit Mount Fuji, one of the easiest ways to get there is by taking a train from Shizuoka. The journey takes around an hour and a half, and there are several trains that go there every day. Once you arrive at the Mount Fuji station, there are a variety of ways to get to the mountain, depending on how you want to experience it.<\/p>\n

From Shizuoka, take the JR Tokaido Main Line to Shin-Fuji Station (7 minutes, 140 yen). From Shin-Fuji, take the Fuji Kyuko Line to Kawaguchiko Station (40 minutes, 860 yen).<\/p>\n

The Limited Express Fuji Excursion train is the best way to reach Mount Fuji from Tokyo. The train leaves from Shinjuku Station and takes around 115 minutes to reach Otsuki, Mt Fuji, and Kawaguchiko. The fare is JPY4130.<\/p>\n

The most popular way to climb Mount Fuji is to take a bus from Shinjuku to the Subaru Fifth Station and arrive in the early afternoon and then climb to one of the mountain huts on the route. You spend the night there and then wake very early before dawn to climb to the summit in time to see the sunrise.<\/p>\n
