Randa railway station is situated a little outside the centre of the village Randa. The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn trains serve this station. This station lies at an elevation of 1,406 metres.

Zermatt is a beautiful place to visit and the scenery is incredible. I would recommend coming during the summer months or early fall as the weather is perfect and the colors are stunning. The Matterhorn is definitely a must-see while you’re here and I’m so glad I had the chance to see it during my August trip. However, visiting during the springtime is generally not a good idea as many trails, lifts, and restaurants are closed. On the plus side, though, there are no crowds during this time.
